My Review/thoughts:

Imagine living in a world where a sexually transmitted disease is a disease that people actually want, all because it makes those infected beautiful. In The Beauty, this disease is very much real, and it’s become a worldwide epidemic. In America alone, over half of its population is infected. Not only do people have to worry about those who purposely try to catch this disease, they now also have to worry about the negative side effects that’s proving to be far worse than any of them expected. This sexually transmitted disease is very real, and it’s called The Beauty. (more…)

My Rating: ★★★★☆

My Review/thoughts:

Set in a very clever, adventurous and futuristic world, Ben Sears introduces an odd duo in Night Air: Plus Man and his robot sidekick named Hank. After Plus Man and Hank are given a tip on where to score valuable alloy, they are determined to locate the treasure. The one thing they have to go through to get to this treasure, however, is a very haunted castle. Very reminiscent of Hayao Miyazaki’s works, Night Air is full of both intriguing and mysterious characters, an elaborate world with magical elements, and a plot that leaves you wanting more. (more…)

My Review/thoughts:

Meet Ava: she’s got a painful past which she carries with her—silently—everywhere she goes. And then meet Sebastian: he’s also got a past, except he carries his like a lead armour, out in the open for everyone to see without any care for what others might be saying or thinking about him. Ava and Sebastian, both with their own baggage and demons to carry around, crosses path during their medical residency. We all know that deep down we all carry our own personal demons. It’s all in how well they play with each other. (more…)

My Review/thoughts:

*Warning: review will contain explicit and sexual matters that may be NSFW*

The Girl in 6E is a hot and steamy thriller. Deanna hasn’t left her apartment or had had any physical interaction with another human being in three years. This being because she’s afraid that once she’s allowed access to the world outside of her apartment door, she’d act on her strong lust for blood and love of death. Living a recluse life made internet her very best friend. It is where she gets all of her shopping done (from food to toiletries), and where she works 18 hours a day. Deanna works as a cam girl—which has earned her more than 6 figures in her bank account, placing her in the top 3 popular cam girls in the cam site she works for—and through this has met different varieties of both men and women. As a cam girl, she keeps her clients’ secrets confidential. As a human being, one is about to escape. “What if you hid yourself away because all you could think of was killing? And what if one girl’s life depended on you venturing into society?” (more…)

My Review/thoughts:

Imagine waking up one day in a hospital without any recollection of how you got there, and no sooner finding out that you are missing six weeks worth of your memory including the four weeks you had spent on a trip abroad to Italy with your best friend. All because of a car accident you were involved in. Now imagine all of this, and imagine wanting nothing more than to just have your best friend by your side to comfort you, to make you feel better and normal again…but then imagine, after all the trauma you had supposedly already been through, hearing the news that your best friend was in that car accident with you and you were the only one who had made it out alive. Not only is your one and only best friend now gone, you are also faced with the problem that the car accident may not be an accident after all. This was the new complicated reality in the life of Miss Jill Charron, the 18-year-old main character of a very gripping novel, With Malice— undoubtedly inspired by the Amanda Knox trial—by Eileen Cook. *this book is only available on Wattpad, but for FREE!*

My Rating: ★★★★☆

My Review/thoughts:

*THIS PORTION OF THE REVIEW IS SPOILER FREE*

Too Late is more than just a romance story. This is not your typical CoHo read. Colleen Hoover really stepped out of her writing norm by writing this one. Too Late is meant to be a free story as a “thank you” to her awesome and loyal readers. Supposedly, according to Colleen herself, (more…)

My Review/thoughts:

Another Percy Jackson series book down, which means another book review that must be done. First and foremost, I am surprised that I am still into this series as much as I am. To begin with, I’m not very big on reading series in general. I seem to have a difficult time keeping up with series that has more than three books. I was worried that I was going to lose interest by the third book (which I think is still the best book out of all the books in this series so far, by the way). (more…)
